Scheme II was the unanimous (of the two of us, granted) choice. The leading factor for this was the weave of the main cabin areas. We don’t want to be precious about Whinchat when she’s launched; at least, we want to minimise preciousness as much as we can. Hesitating about where you can sit in sailing gear is one such consideration in the scale of preciousness. We’d asked Lindsay for the main seating areas to be as robust as possible, so she’d suggested their outdoors range. The fabric in Scheme II was softer than other schemes, which we fancied sitting on more! The darker colour was also attractive (for preciousness reasons). The two middle swatches on the photo are for cushions, which will add some depth into the scheme, and the light ‘corsair’ is for the curtains… Nothing too heavy, after all we don’t sleep with curtains at home.
