Milford Haven Marina – Dale Bay
SW3 and smooth seas. Lovely!

Pete convinced me that we should move back to Dale Bay overnight. The poor sleep that I had there previously was still very fresh in my mind, but we had a fair passage to make to Padstow, and the tidal restrictions in Milford just added another level of complication.
I had been the one to declare that going straight to Padstow was a good thing to do – Pete had an idea to go via Lundy – but the weather was set for a good wind to take us south, which also would have done for Lundy, but with another depression heading our way, we might have got stuck in Lundy (or had a beat down to Padstow). We’ve decided that I must be at saturation point for sailing, as my motivation is to get places as quickly and as painlessly as possible.
We didn’t leave Milford until freeflow, at 17:00, so much of the day was spent mooching and another trip to the laundrette! Not really much to write about.
The night at anchor in Dale was much better than previously. We weren’t quite so exposed to the swell, and maybe some of my dodgy sea legs had disappeared. We were facing another 03:45 alarm call, so I really needed a ‘good enough’ sleep.
