We had an eventful sail down to Falmouth from the Hamble; 28 hours with the skipper stricken by sea-sickness meaning the first mate was left in charge. A broken furling mechanism didn’t help when we were trying to reef the yankee, which meant that we just dropped all sails and motored much of the way… Anyway. The point was to take her to Rustler so that she could be ‘wintered’ for a couple of months. As you do, apparently. The journey home by car was much less eventful, dull even, and certainly much quicker. I made some movies of Whinchat coming out of the water, which are not that interesting to watch (even Pete says so) and massive in download size… Phew, you might say!
